School Library Rules

Rules for borrowing:

• Current pupil can apply for a book card and use the card to borrow books. The deposit for book card is ￡20 and is refundable.
• Library will be open from 3rd week of each term till one week before the term ends. The opening hours on each Sunday will match the school opening time.
• Book list and borrowing record will be updated and made available on school website as well as on notice board. Book reservation must be made at least a week in advance to the library administrator via email or in person. The books reserved should be picked up in following Sunday.
• Each book card can take up to two books away.
• Borrowing period is 4 weeks. It can be renewed once for another 4 weeks providing the book is not reserved by another member.
• Books must be taken good care of.

Rules for fine:

• The Fine for book overdue is ￡3 per week. The borrowing right will be suspended until overdue book is returned.
• The fine for a lost book is ￡20, and the borrowing right will be suspended for 2 weeks.
• The book card will be taken back when total number lost books reaches 3, and the borrowing right will be suspended indefinitely.
• Various measures - fine, suspending borrowing right and taking back book card - will be taken based on the situation to those who damaged the books.
• The book card will be taken back and the borrowing right suspended indefinitely for those who abuse the library rules.

学校图书馆规则（试行）

借阅规定：

• 每位在校学生可以办理一个借书证，凭借书证借书。办理借书证须缴纳押金￡20，退证时押金退还。
• 图书馆于每学期开学后的第三周开始开放，到放假前一周关闭。每周日开放时间与上课时间大致相同。
• 图书清单以及借出记录会在学校网站和周日通知板上公布。借阅者应于至少一周之前根据图书请单向图书管理员通过email或当面预定图书，并在接下来的周日取书。
• 每个借书证最多可借阅两本书。
• 借阅期为四周。在无人预定的情况下可以续借一次，续借期亦为四周。
• 借阅者必须爱护图书，不得在书上乱写乱画。

惩罚规定：

• 到期不还书者，每周罚款￡3。在到期图书未还之前停止其借阅权利。
• 丢失一本书罚款￡20，并停止其借阅权利两周。
• 累计丢失图书达到三本者将收回其借书证，并无限期停止其借阅权利。
• 在借阅期间损坏图书者将视情节采取罚款、短期停止借阅权利、收回借书证等措施。
• 对不服从学校图书馆规定者，将收回其借书证，并无限期停止其借阅权利。
